JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT
Now available for amateur licensing!

Told entirely through song with the help of the Narrator, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat follows the story of Jacob's favourite son Joseph and his eleven brothers. After being sold into slavery by the brothers, he ingratiates himself with Egyptian noble Potiphar, but ends up in jail after refusing the advances of Potiphars wife. While imprisoned, Joseph discovers his ability to interpret dreams, and he soon finds himself in front of the mighty but troubled showman, the Pharaoh. As Joseph strives to resolve Egypt's famine, he becomes Pharaoh's right-hand man and eventually reunites with his family.

"In directing our production of JOSEPH, I was reminded of all the wonderful things that got me into musical theatre in the first place. My own high schools production when I was in year 8, was an amazing staging of the original production, set all those centuries ago and was a vibrant display of colour. In preparing the CMC version, I knew that we needed to update the context of the show, and give it a jump into the modern era. To find a place where there were Kings, investors, family businesses, pyramids and sparkling colours coexisted, the decision was easy to place the story in Las Vegas. We created hotels, characters and presentation style all around the original story, which we believed worked extremely well and our students had a blast. Enjoy the photos from our production, our students thoroughly loved every minute and I hope that if you choose to look into JOSEPH, you do too!" -- Austin Deppeler, Director
