Mr. Chickee's Funny Money follows 10-year-old Steven, a self-proclaimed spy and president of the Flint Future Detectives Club. At the heart of this whimsical journey is an intelligent, entrepreneurial boy who is asked to unlock the secret behind a mysterious bill.

With his pals (and their giant flying dog, Zoopy), Steven discovers that family, friends, imagination and determination are the true keys to success and sharing the spotlight with others can make one even richer.

This all new rhythm and blues musical grooves to original songs by Motown legend Lamont Dozier (who wrote hits like Stop! In the Name of Love, How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved by You), Reach Out I'll Be There, Where Did Our Love Go and more) with additional music and lyrics by his son, Paris Dozier.

REVIEWS:

"A high-spirited, funk-infused musical."

The New York Times

"Mr. Chickee's Funny Money stands out -- way out -- from the usual array of children's musicals."

The New York Times

"A heartfelt musical romp for kids of many ages."

Chicago Sun-Times

"[A] jubilant musical for the entire family... Terrifically entertaining... A must-see... top-notch family entertainment that just happens to promote positive values."

Chicago Theatre Review

"From the moment you hear the opening number, 'Where Your Dreams Come to Life,' you reveal in that inimitable Dozier sound... a blend, really, of the senior Dozier's signature Motown-like sound and the younger Dozier's excursions more into hip-hop stylings although, given Lamont Dozier's famous talents for musical reinvention, I'd bet they worked closely together on everything."

Chicago Tribune

"Will have your toes tapping and your kids leaving with a lesson every parent can support: Believe in yourself and those around you."
