Broadway’s first revival of SOUTH PACIFIC, now playing to sold-out crowds and basking in critical acclaim at Lincoln Center Theater, scored 11 Tony Award nominations, it was announced at a press conference in Manhattan earlier this morning. (SOUTH PACIFIC was second only to IN THE HEIGHTS, which scored 13 nominations, including nods to Williamson Music’s Lin-Manuel Miranda as both star and songwriter of that hit musical.)
