When a group of women holiday in Italy problems arise from personality and agenda differences right from the start! In particular, Pearl and her overbearing daughter clash over Pearl's insistence on enjoying her holiday, whilst Dilys doesn't want her to excite herself. Against the odds, Pearl gets her way. This festival round winner is a bitter-sweet romantic comedy which examines the power struggle between an ageing mother and her daughter and the need for dignity in old age. Two elderley characters.
