Joseph, is a boy blessed with prophetic dreams and the favourite son in the family but is sold into slavery by his jealous brothers when his father gives him a coat of many colours. He is taken to Egypt and sold to the Potifars. His special gift of interpreting dreams reaches the Pharaoh where he becames Pharaoh's right-hand man saving the country from famine. Eventually his brothers are reunited with Joseph in a heartfelt reconciliation. Featuring a mix of musical styles such as calpyso, country-western, pop and rock'n'roll this musical of the Old Testament is a great ensemble show for family entertainment and young people.
Since the first production in 1968 the show, based on the biblical tale of Jacob's son Joseph and his 11 brothers, has proven to be one of the most enduring and endearing shows of all time.
